Landesmuseum Zürich

We paid a fairly short visit to the Zürich National Museum. They are currently extending it, so we did not experience the full grandeur of what the place must be in its heyday.

An exhibition about the Swiss banking system, including the secrecy of bank accounts, apparently brought in just before World War II so the people who worried about losing their assets could keep them securely in Switzerland. Nowadays unfortunately the same secrecy is being used by people to evade tax or launder money.
