Stockholm

Today we had a 3-hour guided tour of Stockholm, ending up near the Nobel Prize Museum. Our hotel, unlike the others we have seen, had rather imposing massive iron doors. Of course! It is the Bank Hotel, and it was formerly a bank.

Stepping back a bit, it looks a bit more welcoming.

Our guide showed us the Stockholm subway, which interestingly does not attempt to conceal the fact that you are in a tunnel underground.

Then we reached the Nobel Prize Museum.

It had a whole lot of very interesting exhibits about former prize winners, in the various fields that the Nobel prize is awarded.

There was an exhibit about fungi, I’m not sure what the relationship between the TinTin book “The Shooting Star” and the computer game “The Last Of Us” is, perhaps if I had played the game I would know.
