Oslo Ski Museum

Today we took the city train (T-Bane) to Holmenkollen station. This runs underground in the city and above ground elsewhere (like Melbourne). It was around -12° C, and so, quite chilly! At least it was a sunny day with blue skies. To give you an idea of the cold, below is a picture of Holmenkollen as we arrived.

We had to hike up a moderately steep road for 750m to reach the museum and ski jump. We passed this quaint hotel.

In the distance we could see a church.

I thought these rocks looked picturesque.

Then we visited the Oslo Opera House (taking the tram). It is supposed to look like an iceberg, I believe.

Inside the interior was interesting.

Night was falling (at 4 PM!) so we headed back to our hotel.
